Pedalling for a Cause: London to Brighton for the British Heart Foundation
Over the years, I’ve watched my mum and wife take on incredible charity walks, raising money for causes that truly matter. Their dedication has always been inspiring, and now it’s my turn to step up – this time on two wheels.
In June 2025, I’ll be taking on the London to Brighton Bike Ride, cycling 55 miles from Clapham Common to the Brighton seafront. It’s a tough challenge, but I am doing it for a fantastic cause: the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
Why the British Heart Foundation?
Heart and circulatory diseases affect millions of people in the UK, and the BHF is leading the fight against them. Every year, they fund around £100 million of research into conditions like heart disease, stroke, vascular dementia, and diabetes – because these conditions are all connected, and research is the key to beating them.
The breakthroughs they fund save lives. They turn science fiction into reality, helping thousands of people every year. And the best part? This research is funded by people like you and me. Every donation, no matter the size, helps move us closer to a world free from the heartbreak of heart disease.
